根状茎不明显；假鳞茎圆锥形或卵球形，较少为稍伸长的圆柱形；叶柄在与叶鞘相连接处无关节；花苞片宿存；花通常开放；蕊喙通常2-3裂。
本组模式种: Calanthe triplicata (Willem.) Ames (Orchis triplicata Willem.).
我国有42种，5个变种。
